WELLCOME TO ENJOY YOURSELF IN RIESKAPAIKKA VACATION COTTAGES!

Our cozy cottages are located in a central place alongside motorway E4 between cities of Kemi and Rovaniemi. In Rieskapaikka there is a restaurant where you can get all the delicacies of Lapland. We also have a cafe where you can get fresh coffee with paistries from our own bakery.

Location and surroundings

For a self-motivated traveller the cottages are situated on a perfect location!. From here you can easily go sightseeing all around Lapland in a comfort of your own car (see more about carrentals...). For example Rovaniemi is only 50 km away!

There`s a lot of things to see and do for a traveller in Rovaniemi. You can visit for example The Polar circle or SantaPark with the real Santa Claus all year round in Rovaniemi. You can also find several companies that arrange snowmobilesafaries, sledge drives with dogs etc.

About 60 km South you can visit the city of Kemi. In Kemi you can find the World`s biggest snowcastle and The Jewelgallery with Europes largest and most diverse collection of jewels.

For a shopping spree you can visit the border of Finland and Sweden (ca 70 km). There you can find Ikea with inexpensive furniture and ideas for your home decor. There`s also the Iittala shop wich sells Finnish design glass, dishes and other kitchen supplies.

Accommodation

We can provide accommodation for up to 40 persons. In all our cottages there is a sauna/shower, wc, kitchen with basic supplies, microwave oven, fridge, coffee maker and television. There is also an outdoor terrace and a loft in some of our cottages. One cottage can accommodate up to 5 persons. These high-level cottages have been repaired during the spring of 2007. During the summertime there is also possibility for camping with mobile home or tent.

Restaurant/cafe

Our restaurant offers genuine delicatesses of Lapland with fresh bread from our own bakery. For smaller hunger you can get fresh coffee, pastries and other refreshments from our cafe. There is up to 100 customer seatings in the restaurant/cafe and we are also able to arrange different events on subscription. We have also AB-permit in our restaurant and in summertime you can enjoy cooling beverages in our sunny outdoor terrace. For children we have an ice crean bar with cones and portions to cool of on hot summer days

Bakery

Connected to Rieskapaikka there is The Bakery of Räihä wich has operated since 1963 making all bakery products with sense of traditoin and proffessional skills. The most famous product of our bakery is unleavened bread made out of barley, genuine and traditional bread of Lapland.
